Our history
St. Philip Neri School was established in January 2013 in Joska just at the Nairobi - Machakos boarder. The school's founding was inspired by a vision to provide quality education to all children, focusing on the academic, co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities. Recognizing the gaps in educational access within the community, our founders aimed to create an inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive and maximize their individual talents and capabilities.
The early days of the school were characterised by dedication and hard work from both staff and the community. Starting with a small group of students and limited resources, the school quickly gained a reputation for its commitment to holistic education. We began with a focus on foundational academic subjects, gradually expanding our curriculum to incorporate various co-curricular activities that nurture the diverse talents of our students.
At St. Philip Neri, we believe that education goes beyond academics. We are dedicated to transforming lives by integrating children from disadvantaged backgrounds into the school, educating and building their confidence with life-changing skills. We nurture our pupils in personal development besides excelling academically, We encourage our students to explore in their areas of interest and talented fields.
Today the school stands out as the CBC hub Nationally, being a benchmark for other schools in the curriculum interpretation and implementations. The school is also very keen on STEM with all facilities to drive a global standard STEM curriculum. We have made remarkable steps in the space of Arts and Sports. We stand tall as the champions in the Kenya National Music Festivals. Our football, netball and handball teams come second to none.
